How long is the Construction Site Fire Training and what does it include?
This is a one day course, with morning and afternoon sessions. The course covers all relevant factors and issues that apply to construction sites in terms of fire prevention and the procedures to take in the event of a fire.

The morning session covers the different types of fire extinguishers and correct usage and how to respond to different types of fire breakouts. There is also a practical session that allows for attendees to use water and CO2 extinguishers on real fires.
The afternoon session then covers the duties of a Fire Coordinator, including legislations and types of fire risks that construction sites face; along with a discussion of escape routes and fire plans. Additionally, this course provides staff with a clear understanding of the principles within the Joint Code of Practice for Construction Sites.
