Construction Site Fire Training
At 1st Attendance, we offer Fire Safety Training for every sector including construction. Working on a building or construction site already involves being knowledgeable about numerous health and safety procedures. Which is why your staff can continue to feel safe within their workplace by enrolling in our Construction Site Fire Training.
What’s unique about 1st Attendance courses is that we can bring our skilled and experienced team to your workplace and can adapt all our training sessions to suit you and your team.
How long is Construction Site Fire Training and what does it include?
This is a one day course, with morning and afternoon sessions that cover all relevant factors and issues that apply to construction sites in terms of fire prevention and the procedures to take in the event of a fire.
The morning session covers the different types of fire extinguishers and correct usage, how to respond to different types of fire breakouts and a practical session that allows for attendees to use water and CO2 extinguishers on real fires.
The afternoon session then covers the duties of a Fire Coordinator, including legislations and types of fire risks that construction sites face; along with a discussion of escape routes and fire plans. This course provides staff with a clear understanding of the principles contained within the Joint Code of Practice for Construction Sites.
